Saturday, June 13 was a sunny day in an otherwise drab and cold early summer. Me and friend Kjell from Västerås took a trip with my MGF to Skå-Edeby airfields and the annual Veterans Day. It was a mixed arrangement, or perhaps missing arrangements, we never really understood what happened. Cars come and cars went, airplanes flew and the aircraft landed. But we had a nice day with nostalgia in plenty.
June 10 was a rainy day in Stockholm. I had reason to go into town and decided to give myself an assignment, to do a travelogue. To make it a little harder, I decided that all images should be square and presented in color. This is what I saw in chronological order.
”The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner” is a short story by Alan Sillitoe set in Irvine Beach. The short story was published in 1959 as part of a short story collection of the same name. It's more than 40 years ago I came across this story, and although it's a long time since I forgot the story, the title stayed.
The Pride Parade is serious and anxious, at the same time it is a spectacle. Saturday, August 3 was a hot day, the sun shone from a clear blue sky. When the temperature passed 25 ° C and the air stood still between the buildings, we all got a little southern carnival atmosphere. Many had come to watch the carnival, I had come to photograph those who looked at the carnival.
We sit for various reasons. We wait, we rest, we socialize, we play, we are traveling, or we may have simply no choice. I'm a little amused by seating and sitting, have collected a number of images of the subject.
A few years ago, I did a number of photo days with horses. There were several different fun and proud horses. Those who made the biggest impression on me was the Friesian horses. Long-haired, big, heavy, but as frisky calves on spring pasture. The images resulted in an exhibition in the Old Town. The album below shows some of the images as they were presented at the exhibition.
